Our Diversity and Unity in the Gospel: International Sunday 2023

On Sunday 15 October 2023, we celebrated the rich diversity at The City Church. We learned that our congregation represents over 31 nations, speaking 31 languages across 6 continents.

The Kids and Youth ministries shared a heartwarming video which greeted us in various languages and conveyed the simple yet profound message, "Jesus Loves You."

We realised that our diversity is a source of unity, with each person contributing something unique, like different instruments in a band.

During the service, we had the privilege of hearing scripture read in different languages and were honoured to have Dave Stedman, CEO of African Pastors Fellowship, share insights about God’s mission for the nations. He highlighted that international gospel opportunities are not just in distant lands but right on our doorstep, and that our eyes should be open to the opportunities technology affords us.

After the service, we enjoyed a delicious spread of international dishes, savouring unhurried moments as a church family. 

What a joy it was to celebrate our God who has brought us all together, from near and far, as one big family!
